Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Pinterin mobile application and the brewery portal (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be of legal drinking age in your country to use Pinterin. By using the Service you confirm that you meet that requirement.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your password (or third-party sign-in credentials) secure. Notify us at support@pinterin.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Marketplace
Pinterin operates as an aggregator of independent breweries. Each order is fulfilled by the brewery shown in the listing. Pinterin facilitates the transaction (payment, dispute handling, shipping co-ordination) but is not the seller of record for the alcohol purchased.
- Prices, stock and shipping options shown are provided by breweries and may change without notice until you complete the purchase.
- A small platform fee (capped at $15) is added to each order to cover payment processing, hosting, and product development. The fee is shown before checkout.
- Refunds and cancellations follow the rules below (Section 5).
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Pinterin never sees your card details. Stripe’s own Consumer Terms apply to the payment portion of any transaction.
5. Refunds, cancellations & disputes
- You may cancel an order any time before the brewery transitions it to shipped. Cancellations after that point are at the brewery’s discretion.
- On cancellation we refund the full amount including the platform fee. Refunds appear on your card within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
- For disputes about delivery, condition of goods, or other marketplace issues, contact support@pinterin.com first. We mediate between you and the brewery.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse the Service to violate any law (including alcohol laws);
- upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes the rights of a third party;
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract data from the Service except through our public APIs;
- resell beers purchased through Pinterin without explicit authorisation.
7. Content & intellectual property
Beer images, descriptions and tasting notes are owned either by Pinterin, by the contributing brewery, or by their respective licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to view this content within the app. User-generated content (ratings, reviews, scan photos you save) remains yours; you grant Pinterin a worldwide licence to display and process it within the Service.
8. Beer-label scan service
Recognition results are provided “as is” and may be wrong. Always confirm the beer manually before placing an order or relying on the information for any purpose.
9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law Pinterin disclaims all warranties, express or implied. Pinterin’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (i) the amount you paid to Pinterin in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (ii) USD 50.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to other users, breweries, or the Service itself.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Pinterin operating entity is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction to hear disputes, except where mandatory consumer-law provisions in your country grant you broader protection.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes are announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
